I love how this room turned out as much as I love how much I spent to do it. It's crazy how much paint can transform rooms and furniture. Here's everything I did to transform my laundry on a budget.

• PAINTED WALLS: The laundry room makeover started when my uncle offered me a free can of leftover paint. I liked the color and it was something different from the rest of the house.

• CABINETS: Next, I wanted to update the cabinets without spending a lot of money. After doing some research, I decided to try this method. I found some thin flat rods of wood at Menard's for a couple dollars a piece. Only needed 3 rods for the whole project. Then I cut them and arranged them to form a frame on the cabinet doors. After gluing them with some wood glue, I painted over all of it with some leftover chalk paint I had from some other projects. Its crazy how big of a difference this simple project made!

• FINAL TOUCHES: After that all I did was add a couple decor items including the rug from Menards, the laundry sorter from Walmart, and the black self from Amazon. ​
